  1. I attended the classes on searching ancestry that included customizing the home page, and I also attended the class on insider search strategies. I went home and then discovered that many of these things taught in the classes do NOT apply to ancestrylibrary.com which we have in our library and pay a lot of money for. We cannot customize the home page or get the drop down boxes for the search options such as soundex etc. I feel like I wasted my time and money in these classes to a great extent. I was hoping to learn more in order to share info with our library patrons in a demo for those who come into the library to use ancestrylibrary.com. So much time was spent on the personal version of ancestry or the individual subscribers version.
