The Blog Format is a Winner for Reaching Members, Subscribers, and the Public

NGS More genealogy-related organizations and communicators are moving to a blog format for communicating with their membership and subscribers. Thinking back in time, Dick Eastman was one of the first with wide readership to make the move to a blog. I believe that was about 2004. Now I see that the National Genealogical Society has moved Upfront With NGS to a blog. Although there is still a place for the traditional newsletter, typically received by email, blogs (especially sent as an RSS feed) are a faster way to reach an audience.
