New – Marriages and Deaths in the 1951 Elizabeth, New Jersey City Directory

My friend, Regina Negrycz, just completed a new book entitled Marriages and Deaths in the 1951 Elizabeth, New Jersey City Directory.

Elizabeth, New Jersey’s 1951 city directory includes deaths and marriages reported to the publisher during the time frame of December 1948 through June 1951. The date of death and age at death were captured, as well as the name of the spouse a woman married. There are 2,362 deaths and 2,198 marriages listed in the new Marriages and Deaths in the 1951 Elizabeth, New Jersey City Directory book. This valuable information was extracted and indexed by the author.

Regina obtained a delivery of a 15-foot POD containing approximately 1,000 city directory books, 875 microfilms of city directories, 400 telephone directories, and millions of telephone books on microfiche. Most of the hard copy city directories have been scanned and are becoming part of a unique online database that can be searched on up to five fields (surname, first name, business, street name & city) at ancestralbeginnings.com. These directories are from the United States and portions of Canada (British Columbia, Montreal, Vancouver) for the time period 1891 through 2002. Regina is also publishing a series of quick guides under the moniker Ancestral Guides. This is the first of several books of births, deaths and marriages found in her collection of city directories.
