R.I.P. Lloyd DeWitt Bockstruck

I was alerted via Facebook today that Lloyd Bockstruck has passed away. Goodness, I learned a lot from Lloyd over the years. Not only from his lectures at various conferences, but through the study of his many books and articles. I had the opportunity to research in the Dallas Public Library on a number of occasions, and Lloyd was always quick to help me out with my research. And he was a great friend, not only to me, but thousands of genealogists who sought his advice.

According to an article posted a few hours ago by Dick Eastman, Lloyd passed away in Dallas, Texas this last Sunday, May 27. Read Dick’s blog at: https://blog.eogn.com/2018/05/28/lloyd-bockstruck-r-i-p/

Lloyd, we’re going to miss you. Rest easy, friend…
