Solving the Mystery of Your Family History – Seminar in St. Charles, Illinois

The DuPage County Genealogical Society is sponsoring their 34th Annual Conference on Saturday February 28th, 2009. I will be lecturing four different times during the day, speaking on “The Witness – An Often Overlooked Source,” “Using Tax Records to Establish Relationships,” “Chasing Women – Finding the Women in Your Pedigree,” and “Your Ancestor Was Not Lost in the Courthouse Fire.”

Genealogical Helper contributing editor, Jeff Bockman will speak on “They Came On This Ship”, and “Drilling Down for DNA.”

Additional tracks by speakers, Don Litzer, Lesley Martin, and Craig L. Pfannkuche, are also planned on Chicago research as well as Allen County Public Library research.

The conference will be held at Hilton Garden Inn, 4070 East Main St, St. Charles, Illinois. See www.dcgs.org for more information.

Just for fun, I’m flying back to Chicago a couple days early, will stay at Jeff’s place and hope to make progress on some of my Cook County (Gfeller & Schaaf) research prior to the Seminar.
