Using the Wisconsin Pre-1907 Vital Records Index

wiindexHave you searched the Wisconsin Pre-1907 Vital Records Index lately? The online index covers the pre-1907 vital records as well as about 150,000 other records, including biographical sketches, obituaries, and newspaper articles published before 2000. You may now search on any name you might know, filling in field for the Last name, First Name, and County & Event date (for vital records only). When finding what you think may be the right record, you can click on the “search for possible spouse matches” to the left of the red BUY button. If the spouse was indexed, you should get a matching entry for that person. This makes the index very user-friendly. The documents themselves are $15.
