Salt Lake Christmas Tour…………… Week’s Peek

I don’t know who this nice lady was, but I spotted her the first day of the NGS conference in Cincinnati. She was the quintessential conference goer with all her conference and society and club pins and her ribbons extending to her knees. I laughed out loud with pleasure when I saw her AND got her permission to use this wonderful photo. We should all be as excited about what genealogy things we do, don’t you agree?

This was my name badge-tags……… modest by comparison. If you’ve never been, the vendors in the Exhibit Hall offer these stick-on ribbons as advertising and many conference goers collect them all just for fun. So what do I do with these lanyards once I’m home? I hang them from the ceiling in my office and enjoy looking at them and remembering the fun time I had!

Think if we had year stick-ons for every year since the Christmas Tour began…….. in 1986! The rope of them would be almost to our feet for some of us. But we have our wonderful tour shirts to wear and help us remember.  Those are more fun………… what color do you expect for 2013??

Hope you are enjoying the monthly newsletter compiled by me, Bill and Leland, and sent to you by Bill. Whatever would we do without Bill Balter as our email guru!!??!!

Donna, aka Mother Hen, until next week.
