Salt Lake Christmas Tour………. Week’s Peek

Leland and I did have a fun hour being jostled amongst 50,000 people on the opening day of the City Creek Mall. But last week in Salt Lake I also very much enjoyed the blooming blubs on Temple Square……. since my bulbs are barely showing their tips and our flannel sheets are still on the bed and the puddles down my lane still freeze at night.

I learned that Big Changes are coming to our favorite library. First off, about half of the family/surname books on the main floor were gone….. off being digitized……. soon to be followed by all the rest and then accessible only via the computer. That will be bad news to some of you. The main floor is also going to be remodeled so as to better serve the folks who come……. greenbean beginners need more help than our Salt Lake Christmas Tour folks do…… and somehow that rearranging will address that need. I was told that “this floor will look more like the rest of the floors.”

Proves once again that “everything” in the world of genealogy is going online and will be digitally accessed. And I know that YOU can do this! In my recent little tour group there was 99-year-old Lynn and she kept going from morning to night and used the computer and printer all day long…….if she can (and Lloyd Welker can)…. then surely YOU can.

Hope you are not waiting for spring to pop but that it’s already there for you. I be envious!
Donna, aka Mother Hen, until next time.
