Salt Lake Christmas Tour Week Peek #19

Yes, yes, I know. I missed Week #18…………. but did anybody notice??? Golly-geepers, I would really like to know if anybody is reading/enjoying these weekly “peeks” and also our Salt Lake Christmas Tour monthly newsletter. Would you let me know??

I was lucky enough to be in Salt Lake all last week and I can report that that huge 30-story condo tower nicely blocks the morning sun from hitting the south side of the Plaza. Ah, the price of success. But the good news is that the entire City Creek Center will be finished by summer 2012………. there will even be a creek running through the open spaces and have real fish in it! Or so I’m told. New in the Library will be brand new printing machines……… those little copy cards that we all have used for so many years? I was told that the Library cannot get any more of those cards so they have gone to an entirely new system………which necessitated new printing machines. Ah, the price of progress.

Anybody have any success stories to share? Anybody reading Leland’s new newsletter? Anybody have any Family Search Indexing stories to report? Research success stories? Hey, good friends, I would really like to hear from you!!

What will you be doing over the Easter weekend??? Share that story!!

Donna, aka Mother Hen, until next week

  1. Donna,
I want you to know that I read the blogs – as well as the newsletter (not just my parts either). So we know somebody does! I hear rumors that I may be seeing you in Nebraska, et al… I’m excited!

  2. Donna I missed you! I look forward to your articles every week. The new shopping center sounds interesting, I wonder if they will issue fishing poles for us to use and maybe the cooks at JB’s will cook our catch for us! Yum! I’m having some interesting success with some Quaker ancestors that I have never researched. It’s been very intersting in the fact that we have visited the areas in Pennsylvania where they settled. That was quite a surprise for me and hope I will get to travel there again. Can’t wait for December and look forward to seeing everyone.
