The second annual Northwest Genealogy Conference, one of, if not the only northwestern genealogy conference, will again be held in Arlington this August.

The conference, which runs from Aug. 13 to 15 at the Byrnes Performing Arts Center, was started as an opportunity to bring a big genealogy conference and many educational opportunities to the area.

It is sponsored by the Stillaguamish Valley Genealogical Society.

More than 20 speakers who are known for their work in genealogy will speak at the conference, and each day will have a specific focus.

Thursday will be about general research and records, Friday about DNA and Saturday about court records.
