ARLINGTON, Va. — As snow gently fell in the Washington, D.C. area Saturday morning, visitors to Arlington National Cemetery quietly strolled among the graves.

At the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, several wreath-laying ceremonies were scheduled throughout the day.

Nearby, a snow angel adorned one grave.

Birds alighted on gravestones, and flowers contrasted brightly against the pure, white snow.
