Download the RootsTech 2014 App

I just downloaded the RootsTech 2014 App to my iPhone. It’s pretty cool.

The app which I now have on my iPhone has 9 categories listed on the screen. They are:

  • Sessions
  • Speakers
  • Exhibitors
  • Agenda
  • Daily News
  • Maps
  • Social Media
  • Settings
  • and Login

The Sessions category starts with the earliest sessions Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 12:45pm. The name and number of each session is given, complete with the length of the program, description, track, level, category, time and speaker.

The Speakers category lists the speakers by name, with their company, a bit about the person, a photo, and the sessions that person is speaking in.

The Exhibitors category lists the exhibitors in alphabetical order by company name. Click on a name, and get a description of the company.

The Agenda category currently list each of the four days of the conference, the hours, and sponsor.

The Daily News category currently has nothing in it, and will be used during the conference itself.

The Maps category currently has venue maps for RootsTech 2014, the Salt Palace Convention Center, and the Expo Hall.

The Social Media category has directly links to RootsTech items at Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.

The Settings category currently allows me to update the app with one click.

The Login category allows registered attendees to log into the system for additional information.

You can download the RootsTech mobile app from the App Store or from Google Play . If you don’t have an iPhone, iPad, or Android device, we’ve got you covered with a web app.
