What could possibly cause vandals to attempt to destroy over 80% of the headstones in the Springhill Ceemetery in Wellsville, Ohio? Is there something about our culture (or lack thereof) that’s making our young people do destructive things like this – acts that make no sense at all? I don’t get it…

WELLSVILLE, Ohio — One person has been arrested after more than 200 gravestones were destroyed by vandalism at a Wellsville cemetery.
Wellsville Police Chief Joe Scarabino said more arrests are expected in connection with the destruction at Springhill Cemetery.

The damages are estimated at $500,000, and officials said about 80 percent of the gravestones at the cemetery were hit. The superintendent said some of the stones were broken into many pieces.
This is so sad to see. I just hope that this problem will be given enough attention. To the people who have nothing to do, please do not do this on the dead people’s resting place.
