Ken Burns Honored by New York State Archives Trust

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) – The support arm of the New York State Archives is presenting a history award to documentary filmmaker Ken Burns, who will appear at the Empire State Plaza award ceremony.

The Empire State Archives and History Award is presented annually to nationally prominent individuals for their work in historic research or interpretation. Past winners include C-SPAN founder Brian Lamb, actors Sam Waterston and Richard Dreyfuss, and historians Doris Kearns Goodwin and Henry Louis Gates.
