The following U.S.A. vital-records oriented databases have been added or updated at FamilySearch.org since my last posting made November 8. New data has been added for Alabama, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, South Dakota, Texas, Vermon, Washington, and Wisconisin.

Alabama County Marriages, 1809-1950 – Name index and images of marriage records created by Alabama counties. Records are arranged by county, volume and date. Currently, the following counties are represented in this collection: Baldwin, Barbour, Bibb, Bullock, Chilton, Cleburne, Crenshaw, Cullman, Dallas, Jefferson, Madison, and St. Clair. Currently this collection is 25% complete. Additional records will be added as they are completed. – 367,734 records as of 21 November 2011 – up 151,713 records since 11 May 2011!
California, San Joaquin, County Public Library Obituary Index, 1850-1991 – Imaged Records – Images of index cards located at the San Joaquin County Public Library, Stockton, California. Contains clippings from various San Joaquin County and Stockton city newspapers of obituaries – 167,323 images as of 10 November 2011.
California, San Mateo County Records – 1856-1967 – Browsable Images – County records including marriage intentions, naturalizations, deeds, patents, homesteads, and military service discharges – 647,467 images as of 23 November 2011 – up 100,688 images since 5 November 2011.
Connecticut Marriage Index, 1959-2001 – Index of marriages from the Connecticut Department of Public Health in Hartford. Index provided by Ancestry.com – 1,005,746 Records as of 14 November 2011.
Illinois, Cook County, Maywood Herald Obituary Card Index 1885-2002 – Imaged Records – Images of a surname card index from the Maywood Public Library. The index is largely comprised of obituaries, as well as a list of “Maywoodians” (residents of the city of Maywood), from the “Maywood Herald” newspaper – 62,054 images as of 23 November 2011.
Kentucky, County Marriages, 1797-1954 –Imaged Records – Marriage records created by Kentucky counties. Records include bonds, license, certificates, and returns – The database currently contains 000281846, Mason County Marriage bonds, 1855-1857; 000390799, Meade County Marriage Bonds 1855-1859; 000481490, Nelson County Marriage Bonds 1854-1858; 000481494, Nelson County Marriage Bonds 1880-1885; 000481495, Nelson County Marriage Bonds 1886-1895; 000481496, Nelson county Marriage Bonds 1895-1899; and 000481503, Nelson County Marriage Bonds 1899-1901 – 3091 records and 2,790 images as of 17 November, 2011.
Maine, Knox County Cemetery Records, ca. 1800-2007 – Imaged Records – Images of records from several cemeteries in Knox County, Maine – 3,878 images as of 10 November 2011.
Massachusetts, Plymouth County, Probate Estate files 1686-1881 – Imaged Records – Probate estate files of Plymouth County located at Suffolk County Courthouse in Boston. The files are arranged by number then alphabetical by surname. The files cover the Series 1, 1686-1881. This collection is being published as images become available – 115,896 images as of 21 November 2011 – up 43,163 images since 12 September 2011.
Minnesota, Stevens County Genealogical Socity Records, 1876-2006 – Imaged Records – Images of records from the Stevens County Genealogical Society housed at the Morris Public Library in Donnelly, Minnesota. The records include a marriage card index, obituary index, and obituaries – 63,363 images as of 11 November 2011.
Montana, Flathead County Records, 1871-1981 – Imaged Records – Coroner’s records, 1923-1979; deed records; divorce records, 1914-1929; jail records; and probate records, 1893-1950, located at Flathead County courthouse, Kalispell, Montana. This collection is being published as images become available – 151,157 images as of 10 November 2011.
New Hampshire Deaths and Burials, 1784-1949 – Name index to death and burial records from the state of New Hampshire – 248,856 records as of 11 November 2011.
New Hampshire, Hillsborough County, Manchester Cemetery Records 1800-2007 – Imaged Records – Cemetery records from the Pine Grove, Valley and other cemeteries in the Manchester area – 50,399 images as of 23 November 2011.
New Jersey County Marriages, 1682-1956 – Imaged Records – Name index and images of county marriage records for New Jersey. Currently this collection is 81% complete. Additional records will be added as they are completed. Due to contract restrictions some images from the following counties may not be available for view: Atlantic, Burlington, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Middlesex, Monmouth, Passaic, Salem, Somerset, Union, and Warren – 266,235 records as of 10 November 2011.
North Carolina Deaths and Burials, 1898-1994 – Name index to death and burial records from the state of North Carolina – 109,511 Records as of 11 November 2011.
Ohio Deaths, 1908-1953 – Imaged Records – Name index and images of Ohio statewide death certificates – 3,544,429 Records as of 10 November 2011 – up 2,972 records since 23 Apr 2010 – 3,898,316 images.
South Dakota, Minnehaha County, Probate Records 1873-1935 – Imaged Records – Probate case records located at the South Dakota State Historical Society in Pierre. The files are arranged by box, folder and file numbers – 71,073 images as of 11 November 2011.
Texas Death Index, 1903-2000 – Index of deaths from the Texas Department of Health, State Vital Statistics Unit in Austin. Index provided by Ancestry.com – 7,255,830 records as of 14 November 2011.
Texas, Concho County Records, 1849-2008 – Imaged Records – This collection contains records from Concho County, Texas. It is being published as images become available and, at this time, it contains only deed and probate records. Whereas the above year range describes the entire collection, the deed and probate records alone extend only from 1870 to 1940 – 46,411 images as of 16 November 2011.
Vermont Vital Records, 1760-1954 – Imaged Records – Name index and images (index cards) of town clerk transcriptions of births, marriages and deaths, 1760-1954. This collection is complete for years 1871-1908. As more data is received, the remaining year ranges will be incrementally updated – 1,666,488 records and 2,186,965 images as of November 2011.
Vermont, Washington County, Probate Estate Files, 1862-1915 – Imaged Files – Probate estate files located at the Washington District Probate Court in Montpelier, Vermont. This collection is being published as images become available. 35,679 images as of 12 November 2011.
Washington State County Records 1885-1950 – Imaged Records – Collection of various records including official actions, probate records, indexes, etc. The records are from various counties in Washington State, 1885-1950. This is an ongoing collection – Currently contains records for Adams (Birth Returns 1894-1942, Probate bonds 1903-1923, Probate Case files 1885-1945, Probate Letters 1904-1927, Probate Records 1885-1931, Record of Probate Claims 1903-1917, and Record of Wills 1888-1959); Asotin (Probate Case Files 1901-1937); Benton (Birth records 1905-1907), (Marriage records 1905-2008(, and (Probate case files 1895-1910); Chelan – (Marriage records 1900-2002); Douglas (Marriage license applications 1939-1952); Lincoln (Probate Journals 1917-1960, Probate Records 1897-1917 and wills 1884-1945)*; Pend Oreille (Birth records, 1912-1948), (Marriage records 1911-1947), (Probate Case records 1889-1936 and wills 1907-1975); and Pierce counties. *This collection also contains a Lincoln County Special Population Census Schedule 1911-1920 – 746,100 images as of 23 November 2011 – up 247,646 images since 23 September, 2011!

Wisconsin, Fond du Lac Public Library Records, 1848-1980 – Imaged Records – Image of card files from the Fond du Lac Public Library. Includes a cemetery file (1900-1980), marriage application file (1899-1930), and a divorce file (1848-1950) – 22,198 images as of 23 November 2011.
