Stark County, Illinois History Book in Process

The following excerpt is from the August 12, 2011 edition of the Star Courier.

Toulon, Illinois – 3,000 pamphlets were sent from the Toulon Post Office this week to Stark County residents, seeking information for the new Stark County History and Families book.

The pamphlets, which include includes an explanation of the project, contact resources, cost and book order forms, should be delivered this week.

The book will include a history of Stark County, family histories, communities, churches, schools, businesses, farms, organizations, memorials and tributes.

The deadline for submitting information is Oct. 30. Information and photos can be sent toStark County History Book, c/o Stark County Genealogical Society at P.O. Box 83, 61483. Further information is available at 853-4545. The new books ordered are to arrive in December, 2012. The cost of the books is $54.95 apiece.
