Hinckley, CG, Executive Director, Association of Professional Genealogists<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.apgen.org\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.genealogyblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/APG-Logo.jpg\" alt=\"APG\" width=\"250\" height=\"35\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-24522\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The Association of Professional Genealogists announces a Call for presentations at RootsTech 2014, Salt Lake City, Utah. The focus of the conference is on technology in the field of genealogy. APG will be sponsoring a track of four lectures on Thursday, February 6, 2014. <\/p>\n<p>Presentations are 60 minutes including a ten minute question and answer period and should be topics covering advanced uses of technology in the genealogical field. The focus should be on new technology, or new and creative uses of technology. These lectures would be of interest to both aspiring and\/or experienced professionals.<\/p>\n<p>APG offers an honorarium of $250 for the 60 minute presentation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Proposals should include:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Speaker&#8217;s full name, address, telephone, and e-mail address<br \/>\n\u2022 Lecture title<br \/>\n\u2022 Short summary of the lecture, not to exceed 40 words<br \/>\n\u2022 Brief speaker biography, not to exceed 50 words<\/p>\n<p>Send proposals to the APG office via e-mail to admin@apgen.org.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DEADLINE: 19 October 2013<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The following is from Kathleen W.
