SCGS Jamboree Lectures Available on CD-ROM at Jamb-Inc.com

jambinc Jamb-Inc.com is a professional recording service out of St Louis, Missouri. I’ve seen them at a number of the conferences lately, the last time at the Federation of Genealogical Societies Conference in Little Rock, Arkansas, September 2-5, 2009. While they were recording at the Southern California Genealogical Society Jamboree in Burbank last June 26-28, 2009, I had the opportunity to visit with the folks for a bit. I think they’re doing a great job and providing a much-needed service.

As with the old taping operations of years gone by, Jamb-Inc.com records the conference sessions and immediately burns not tapes, but CD-ROMS, for distribution, for sales both at the conference and afterwards. Following is a listing of the sessions recorded and now available from the three days at the 2009 SCGS Jamboree last June. I put my lectures – as well as “Son of Blogger 2,” in which I participated, in bold print.

To place an order, go to the Jamb-In.com website. Click on Genealogy. Scroll through the pages of Genealogy Events until you come to the Heading saying: “Southern California Genealogical Society and Research Library” & “40th Annual Southern California Genealogical Jamboree” – currently found at the bottom of the third page (that is sure to change). Orders are placed by picking the session numbers from a drop-down list – so jot down to the numbers of those CDs you would like prior to starting the order process. CDs are $12 each.

By the way, you can also purchase the SCGS Syllabus in paperback or CD-ROM form directly from SCGS.

It’s also time to start thinking about attending the SCGS Jamboree to take place June 11-13, 2010. Info on the 2010 program isn’t posted yet, but in the mean time, follow the SCGS Jamboree Blog. I hope to see you there!
