On Saturday, Dick Eastman reported that Halvor Moorshead passed away on Friday, March 7, 2014. Halvor was a good friend, and I’m saddened by his passing. For many years we were competitors, as well as friends. He is best known within the genealogical community for founding Family Chronicle, and later Internet Genealogy. However, he also founded History Magazine, as well as a number of other magazines.
