Sixty years strong with 2,376 print and non-print items, the collection is housed on the second floor of the library at 101 E. Fourth St. and represents the largest historical and genealogical compilation available in western Sussex County public libraries.
“We’re trying to reach people who don’t know about our collection,” says Norma Jean Fowler, the library’s Adult Services Librarian. “These resources are intended for researching local Delmarva history, culture and genealogy.”
I am looking for an obituary or death certificate on Edwin H. Allen who died 11/19/1964 and is buried in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Also, his wife, Fannie M. Allen, who died 11/3/1963, same cemetery.
Also, his son, Lawrence E. Allen, who died 4/5/1976, same cemetery, married to Josephine C. Allen, who died in 1982, same cemetery.
I am trying to locate all of the Edwin H. Allen heirs, regarding a mineral interest that he acquired in the 1930’s in Van Buren County, AR. Any heirs will have a right to royalties from gas wells in the Section where they own minerals.
