NGS Experiences Cyber Attack

Although many of the features of the National Genealogical Society website were uneffected, the site experienced a cyber attack this week. According to an email to NGS members from Jordan Jones, President of NGS, the following features are offline:

  • Bible Records
  • NGSQ archives pre-2008
  • NGSQ Index
  • MAC Charts
  • National Intelligencer
  • Select online courses
  • The online searchable conference program is unavailable, but the registration brochure is online.

The issues are currently begin addressed and it’s expect the site will be fully functioning again by week’s end.

Please note that conference registration and the online store were not involved in the attack, you can still register for the NGS Las Vegas conference without a problem. Early Bird pricing ends on March 19, so get registered now if you haven’t already done so!
