You Too Can be Buried in Elvis Presley’s Crypt in Forest Hil Cemetery – for a price…

Sure – I’m an Elvis fan, but I’m not so much a fan as to bid in the upcoming auction of Elvis Presley’s Crypt. It’s going on the auction block in June. The following excerpt from an article at the kwtx.com website tells details.

LOS ANGELES (May 28, 2012)–Celebrity auctioneer Darren Julien is selling Elvis Presley’s original crypt to the highest bidder as part of his “Music Icons” auction later this month.

The tomb is inside the granite and marble mausoleum at the Forest Hill Cemetery in Memphis, Tenn. where Presley was interred alongside his mother, Gladys, after he died Aug. 16, 1977.

Two months later, the two were re-buried at Presley’s Graceland home and the original crypt has remained empty ever since.

Julien said the winning bid from the auction beginning June 23 will receive the crypt, opening and closing of the vault for burial…
