St. Louis Post Dispatch Obituaries Index

It was reported this morning in the MoSGA Messenger blog that the Keith Zimmer, working at the St. Louis Public Library, has indexed the obituaries, death notices, and burial permits noted in the Post-Dispatch for following years:
- 1880-1930
- 1942-1945
- 1960-1963
- 1992-2008
Mr. Zimmer is currently indexing May of 1964 - and any new 2009 items.
Not all of the years listed above are as yet posted on the St. Louis Public Library website. However, researchers can email him directly and he will check those years for you. Please note that he will need a postal address to send copies to. Copies themselves require a small fee to cover the costs.

Looking for any data on Joseph Bisanntz. However, there are numerous variants of the name, aka Bssanz, Bishonz, etc. He was born in France, and immigrated to New York State around 1835, married, had a son, Joseph, so I don’t know which may have died in St. Louis 1880 or later.

I want the death notice from when my dad died - his date of death was May 3, 1963. We lived in Lemay, MO 63125 at 320 Hoffmeister.
Thank you so much, we’re coming up on the 47th anniversay from the day we lost him.
