Salt Lake Christmas Tour Week Peek #28-29

I’ve been on the road…………. with my daughter Jane, working with Holly Hansen and the Family History Expos in Sheridan, WY, and Loveland, CO (just north of Denver). Had a great, fun and (I think; I hope) productive time for the attendees. Leland comes to these, too, both as a presenter and with his Family Roots Publishing bookstore (along with Dale and Tara to help). Here is a photo I took of him for you all:

Also, two of our oldest Tour Family Friends were there (from New Mexico)….. know who??

And they, Lud and Lois Gritzo, brought two friends and we think we’ve talked them into coming on the Christmas Tour………… bad me, I did forget their names but welcome them when you see them!!

Here’s what “genealogy” I’ve accomplished this summer so far: Using a coupon from Costco, I had three VHS tapes made by my dad and my mo-in-law transferred to DVDs. (This is a Costco service; cost me $48 to have the three done and the made two copies each.) The contents of these oldy-moldy VHS tapes were from hubby’s babyhood and childhood and I knew that if I didn’t follow the advice of the experts and migrate them into new technology (mo-in-law transferred them from her 8mm rolls to VHS) that they would be lost. Please look at your precious old photo memories…… do you need to migrate and update them???

Happy 4th of July to you all! Until next week, Donna, aka Mother Hen
