Missouri State Archives to Post Another 9000 Missouri Supreme Court Cases 1821-1865 Online

Missouri Supreme Court Historical Database According to an article in the Columbia Daily Tribune, the Missouri State Archives will digitize and post about 9,000 original Missouri Supreme Court cases heard between 1821 and 1865. A $148,000 grant was received from the Federal government, making this possible. The files run to about 864,000 pages. Expect them to be posted online in September of 2012 (about 18 months from now). Also noted in the AP article is that “The scanned files will be available on a state website with about 12,000 case files dating back to 1783.” That statement is referencing the searchable Missouri Supreme Court Historical Database currently found at the Missouri State Archives website.
